We think transparency builds trust. So here's exactly what happens — technically and physically — from the moment you type your first prompt to when your print arrives at your door.
Step 1: You describe what you want
It starts with a sentence. "A foggy morning in Kyoto, cherry blossoms, soft watercolor style." "A wolf in a snowstorm, oil painting, dramatic lighting." It doesn't need to be elaborate — a few words capturing the scene and mood are enough. The more specific you are, the more precisely you'll get what you imagined.
You also choose an art style from our library of 28. The style acts as a strong visual directive — telling the AI not just what to depict, but how to render it: loose impressionist brushwork, graphic poster lines, cinematic film tones, and so on.
Step 2: The AI generates your artwork
We send your prompt and style selection to OpenAI's image generation models — the same technology behind some of the most impressive AI art being created today. The model synthesizes your description into a high-resolution image, generating 3 unique variations in about 15 seconds.
These aren't cropped or filtered stock photos. They're original compositions created specifically for your prompt. No two results are the same, even for identical inputs.
Step 3: You choose your favorite
You see all 3 variations side by side and pick the one you want to print. You can also regenerate with a refined prompt, switch styles, or try a different format before deciding. There's no cost at this stage — you only pay when you've found something you love.
Step 4: You customize the print
On the customization page you choose your material (matte, glossy, canvas, or metal), size (8″×10″ up to 24″×36″), orientation (portrait, square, or landscape), and whether to add a frame and mat. A live wall mockup updates in real time so you can see exactly how it'll look before ordering.
Step 5: We send it to print
When you check out, your order goes directly to our fulfillment partner Printful — one of the most established print-on-demand networks in the world, with facilities across the US. They print your artwork on professional-grade equipment using archival inks and the material you selected.
Every order is quality-checked before it leaves the facility. Canvas prints are gallery-wrapped on solid wood stretcher bars. Framed prints have corner protectors. Metal prints ship in custom foam-padded boxes.
Step 6: It ships to your door
Most orders ship within 2–3 business days and arrive 3–5 business days after that. You'll get a tracking email as soon as it ships. If anything isn't right when it arrives, our 30-day guarantee means we'll reprint or refund — no questions asked.
What we don't do
We don't hold inventory. Every print is made fresh for your order. We don't resell your artwork — once you've ordered it, it belongs to you and we never print it again for anyone else. And we don't store your payment information — that's handled entirely by Stripe.
